This is a long time quirk in the program. I don't know of a work around except to type the call in (I do that just from long habit on CW/SSB). You could also use the function keys to send the info -
WriteLog does not support playing CW from the computer speakers (like CT does). If you are keying the radio, then you should be able to hear it in the monitor. You don't use the sound card to send CW
Make sure that you are logging QSOs on SSB and not CW. I noticed that if you bring up WL with no rig connected, it defaults to the mode being CW. Randy, K5ZD
