Steve, I did the reinstall without the uninstall just to see if it would clear up a buggered file and it appears it must have. I also did some registry cleanup to make sure there were no issues float

Ron, What "names" is the software referring to? Could it be in the "sounds" section of the control panel (with regard to the sound card itself). Maybe if the sound theme is changed will make a differ
