I always have a buffer ready to go which explains just what I need for contest credit, and even suggests an exchange ("serial nr like 001"...) he can use. Had two buffers yesterday - one for state an

If you do not get a S/N from the station that you contacted, It doesn't count. May as well delete the contact. I agree with the Jerry. All you need to do is ask him if your his first contact? Perhaps

Before this gets out of hand... KV4FZ is in the US Virgin Islands and as DX does not need a section. However, it was not accepted by Writelog, as originally stated. I just typed in VI for section, an

KV4FV was probably Freddie KV4FZ who is back on. Either the call needs to be changed to FZ (he is in the cty file and the ARRL section file) or dropped. KV4FV is in Alabama but not a known contester
