Hello, This problem has nothing to do with Writelog other than the symptom is seen on the Packet Terminal screen. The problem has to do with the TNC, PK-12, connected to the computer running Writelog

I'm not familiar with the PK-12, but with the PK-232 I have found the battery backed up memory more trouble then convenient. Pull the battery and let the unit reset. You should be able to initialize

Jim is right!! Like all of the TNC from AEA this one needs the Battery pulled if you are running the TNC with writelog, as Writelog will configure the baud rate for you. From many hours on emails its
