Enter sends message has been a feature for a long, long time. Under the "entry" pulldown, check: "enter sends exch/QRZ." That's it. Which F keys it sends are controlled in the .ini. Works like a cham
Hal, it doesn't seem to work in RTTY mode, though. You still need to use INSERT to send the exchange. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-99
Actually Jim, I never paid much attention to the existance of this feature until the post this weekend. I tried it in the BARTG. With nothing in the qso entry window, hit enter and it sends cq. Assum
Yes, but it could be simpler. The INSERT key takes the highlighted call off the screen and enters it, then sends the exchange. Why can't the ENTER key do the same thing (that's a rhetorical question)
Re: ESM, well Writelog still does NOT support ESM for S & P mode! N1MM does this but *NOT* Writelog. It's something SO2R operators have been requesting for a l-o-n-g time now.... 73 Steve GW4BLE ____
Charlie, Actually, it almost works that way. There is a gotcha in there for RTTY. As long as you TYPE in the Call Sign which leaves the cursor in the Call field, Enter Sends... the report message as
Use the INSERT key to grab the highlighted call off the screen and send the exchange. It works as expected. Of course if the call is NOT highlighted, you're back to the original problem. Randy K5ZD m

I tried using the INSERT key to grab the highlighted call, and it won't work for me. Is there an .ini file entry that needs to be made? Since I use "Enter sends xchg/QRZ" mode, I found that I had to
Hello Jim, Just being able to map "Insert" to a hotkey would be a plus as you wouldn't have to take your hand off the home keys. As it turns out you can map a lot of WL functions to hotkeys except fo
How would the ENTER key know if I wanted to grab a call and send the exchange -or- send CQ? I would like it if it were smart enough but I'm not sure what the logic would be. I find the use of INSERT
Hi Pat, You're right about the current function of the ENTER key, but I would suggest that when nothing is in the callsign field they take away that CQ function of the ENTER key and give it the power
