There has to be someone out there who has their lap top LPT with Windows XP successfully keying their rig using Writelog. I have followed USERPORT directions to a T and I get crappy broken up code fr

Did you try adding CW_ON_PIN1=1 under [Ports] in the writelog.ini file? I'm not sure why this is not an installation default. I use XP Pro on a desktop and have had no problems generating CW through

No need to get hung up over LPT port keying. Serial port keying works fine under Win XP on laptops. During WW CW at ZA1A, we had a laptop with WinXP at every station... and we used serial port CW key

Thx to several emails and research on the reflector, we got the LPT port to send wonderful CW keying this afternoon- KK9A suggestion of adding CW_ON_PIN1=1 under ports in the writelog.ini file was us
