Until today I have always done rig control on COM1 and CW keying on COM2. Because I need another serial port I decided to build a DB9 splitter so I can do rig control and CW keying on the same port.

Kelly, I had the same problem. I am using Windows ME...go to W3UHF,s web page and download his patch... This fixed my problem. Still keys for a split second when first loading but no problem here. ht

The patch is for ME. I am using Windows XP. The description of the ME "bug" doesn't sound the same as my issue. As I said before, this only happens when rig control and CW are on the same port. I don

Kelly, I did not have any problem when using LPT1 for CW and COM for rig control but,, Your problem sounds the same as I had. I always used LPT1 for keying and COM1 for rig control.. I had a cable ma
