Hi Jim, I had the same issue. Disconnect the speed pot. I also had an issue with a bad RS-232 cable that intermittently caused commands to the Multi-keyer to get scrambled. 73, Ken, K6LA / VY2TT ____

FWIW, when I owned the W5XD keyer I had the exact same issue. The fix, at least for me, was to thoroughly rinse the speed pot with tuner cleaner, and exercise it to get it back into operating conditi
