I should not have typed "detachable" head, should have been "replaceable". Someone told me that it was a pretty simple task to swap out a new head but a nightmare to replace the LCD-only, even if Yae

Yes, it was Yaesu who said the LCD is no longer available. They also quoted me $130.+ for the head which is a lot for a rig this old, even though it is a versatile rig. -- Thanks! & 73, doc, KD4E ..
