- Hello, Does anyone know how to wire this? I'd like to make a backup cord much shorter than the factory supplied one. Looks like it uses four conductors, but neither the manual nor the schematics disc

- Hi Mary - Frances my 840 is connected as follows: looking at the rear of the connector on the cable CLIP - + O O O centre pin is squared - + O O O outer pins are squared hope that helps 73 Peter VA3P

- Yes, I think it does. Thanks! However, I'm wondering if it's just a simple case of jumpering over to make two positives and two negatives. My only other real experience with a Yeasu HF rig is the 757

- Hi again I should have been a bit more detailed. The two heavy wires red & black are split and shrink wrapped inside the red hood of the connector to make Y's on the end. 73 Peter VA3PKH. -- FAQ on W
