I can't say mine is noisy...I know it is cycling on and off but it's not something that is distracting...it's very quiet. I had a brand new Icom 756 Pro II a while back with the Icom power supply and

I've read a lot about the fan noise but this must be a problem that is in some radios and not others. My Ft-1000D cycles on and off and I barley notice the fan's noise. I don't know if this is one of
