you probably are using the wrong headphones, I have no problems at all with my Sennheiser boommount with open headphones anymore; before it was impossible to wear Heil headphones longer then 3 hours

If you work on 21200 in USB it is legal, as the lower sideband is removed. Same with our small european 40m band, if one would follow your opinion, no one could use 7100 (LSB) which is legal as well
