I can understand it when driving a 100v keying line, but these hf-2500 amps use either 12v or 24v depending on vintage and about 75ma drain. Not a very hefty current even for those little relays. Wha

Well, I found one band data plug in my spare plugs and wired up the one that went really bad last week to key from the band data jack, works just fine with the hf-2500. now I could use 4 more plugs,

It sounds like you have something that is shorting the monitor audio back to the mic. If I understand all your options, you get it in lsb/usb even with the monitor off? How about in AM? Or in pkt-lsb
