Yes, it's full AM but controlled carrier. When I'm not talking, my carrier output measures 12 watts. It goes up to 25 when fully modulating. 73 Ray W2RS. _____________________________________________

I've tried them side by side, and found the "old" Orion II sub receiver quieter than the Yaesu Mk V, due to the O II's DSP NR. It would still benefit from a good roofing filter, though, so I plan to

Yes, I notice that too. Also, v3.026 doesn't seem to have as much TX audio gain as 2.044A, which is an issue with dynamic mics such as the 707 Regal. The SAF, though, is great. 73 Ray W2RS __________
