Hi All, I recently used TRLog (version 6.70) with the FT897 in the Cal QSO Party. No problem at all, although I did have to upgrade my copy of TR to a version which had the FT817 protocol available.

Alan, You don't want to hear this answer, but ... I had the same problem in CQP with TRLog 6.70. You have no choice but to make the changes. Even more important in SS than in CQP because of the seria

Terry, Thanks, I assume you mean the option under "Create Final Logs" which allows for renumbering QSO's? What always puzzled me is that TR apparently doesn't pick up the frequency and put it in the

Yes, a different beast indeed. And one which would be of value to me. I'm going to be in 'expedition' mode in FO0 for a couple of weeks in November and am thinking about what software to use. With th

I suspect the problem is at the stereo plug to the 990. A straight key input (which is what the output from the TRLog keyer looks like to the radio) goes to the TIP (not the RING) connector of the st

Hi Rick -- The capability is already there. Just create new subdirectory for the new contest under the "master" directory that contains TR. Set your path to look at the "master" directory. When you t

Ed, Interesting comments -- My experience is thus -- when I got back into contesting 4 years ago after a hiatus of 25 years, I first discovered TRLog in its then (in relative terms) infant stage. I h

Martin, 4E is the hexadecimal (base 16) address for the radio, hence the "H". (Icom is unique in using these). Trlog requires you to use the DECIMAL equivalent of the hex address number. I'm not anyw

It may be a little late (depends on what time Radio Shack opens), but I found a solution by building the components into a full metal DB25 hood (from Radio Shack) and using good cable with shielding.
