Are you sure that the HDX572 "is the next step up?". I have had both and while the HDX572 looked stronger, with large diameter tubing, the specs was rated less that the LM470 (according to my memory)

what kind of tower? I had a side mount made for the mid section of a crankup that doesnt interfere with extending/retracting the tower. It is for the two element that can be on one side of the tower,
