Yes, I believe the Orion was tested with the 1Khz filter because it performed better than the narrow filters with the old design. The Orion II was tested with the 300hz roofing filter. At this point

I like the narrow filtering as well. The reason it doesn't ring at 100hz is because the filter slopes are fairly shallow compared with other radios, even with the Orion filtering set to 199 Taps. To
