That's not the way to shape your receive passband IMHO. Adjust RX EQ for a flat audio passband and use BW and PBT (some use Hi/Lo cut but I never do) to set the upper and lower passband limits. 73, B

Separate signal paths at that point in main and sub receiver - that's why I suggested comparing the two receivers. Yes, additional methodical observation on your part would help isolate the problem.

If you use the subreceiver often on the low bands, I think you might feel differently. The Orion subreceiver just can't handle the huge dynamic range typically found on low band cw. 73, Barry N1EU __

Can't get out of an Orion? I've been using the Orion for stereo diversity reception for years on 160M-20M. There are a lot of soundclips on n1eu.com. It does a very good job, bearing the limitations
