Installing 80 and 160 verticals and was going to use 14 gauge uninsulated solid copper wire for radials. Little dirt here, mostly limestone and caliche. Is there any reason to use insulated wire? No

HAMSPOTS.net you need the s Bob, I am in the same situation.. I use many toos available free..a few of them are #1) Dx cluster I leave it unfiltered ( with the exception of band ) so I see all spots.

A few years back in Houston, lightening hit the 90' pine tree my full size Carolina windom was attached to. The tree died and all the 14 gauge copperweld vanished back to the balun and line isolators

When OQRS came up a couple of days ago it was $2 and they took it down and changed it to $6, a new high and low in Ham Radio as far as I am concerned. No consideration to donors is being made either
