Scout is affordable to me and being a new HAM it's layout looks plain and easy to use. many buttons and gadgets compared to the scout that I was wondering if I will need all that stuff in the future

Jim, I have both a Corsair I and an Omni VI, if your looking for the best bang for the buck, the Corsair is one of the best buys in Ham Radio, it STILL has a better receiver than 99% of the new rigs
