I would not do that unguyed at 80km/h, the Pro57 is quite a large antenna. The problem is mainly to retract it on higher wind speeds, you will need an additional winch for pulling it down http://www.

Yes, I think that is a better idea then cutting the jacket of braided cable for the ground strap. As well I have no problem doing that with my Heliax/Cellflex cables I also prefer there the grounding
