Regarding BPL and other non-ham issues, the problem is the FCC, IT needs overhauling. Perhaps Kerry would have even higher hopes for BPL and place an even more commercial FCC board of directors. Anyb

I have the APC LS-700 and it's quiet. Dale I recently found a modest-level signal on various HF bands, 20 to 50 kHz apart. I finally got annoyed with it enough to start flipping breakers in my house.

I had a signal on 75 meters which I traced to my eithernet cable going to a laser printer in the basement, about a 25 foot run. I unpluged the cat 5 cable from my router and the signal disappeared. D

I've had one of those replacement fluorescents on 24/7 for years and never a peep. It's in the basement directly under my shack. I think it's a 15 watt with the light of a 40 or 50 watt regular bulb.
