I had a Corsair, Icom 745, HW-101, and HW-8. Sold all but the '101. I loved the former on CW with QSK. I'm undecided on what new "main" rig I want, so I'm going with what I loved back then. -- Dale S

I can affirm this. I had lightning discharge thru open RG8 in the shack years ago. It arced to nearby HW101 chassis and made a *very* loud pop. No harm done to gear, but I was in the room and got on
