I have just got hold of a Version 6 IC for the FT1000, I have Version 5 in mine at the min, but I want to put a microham microkeyer onto the FT1000 but it says it need V6 to work properly, Can anyone

You must be kidding!! I have owned the FT-1000MP & Field and the Pro 3 and none of them come near the FT1000D for received signal, dont know what you were using but it does not sound like FT1KD John
