I've heard/read that when laying radials on the ground there's really not much benefit to making the radial length any longer then the height of your antenna.  So... if I'm using a ground mounted hus

I hate to ask because this seems like a ridiculous question but here goes...   I've got a used WT-51 with a Ham IV rotator installed.  The whole thing is on the ground waiting for me to get it up.

Hi,   My shack is on the first floor of the house and right above the electrical service entrance in the basement.  For my station RF and DC ground, I'm thinking I'll run a 10' wire from the station

I've got a used HAM IV rotor that just came off a tower after about 10 years of service with no problems.  I'm going to put it back up on a medium sized tribander on a crank up tower.  I'm wonder if

Thanks to all for the comments on the rotor.  Sounds like I'd better spend the bux and get it in for service.  I'm sure its a fairly easy project for a DIYer but I'd just as soon have a pro look at i

I didn't do a very good job of describing the antenna.  I'm not really folding the ends back into a C.   I'm making a flat V.... like an inverted Vee but with the ends horizontal rather then drooping
