Its good only for CW, won't pass SSB. The MFJ input impedance is much lower, can't be sure about the output impedance but that's probably not nearly the problem that loading a circuit expecting 220k

I downloaded the manual and studied the display circuit. Its a multiplexed display where the driver puts out the bits for each number in sequence and a digit select line enables the appropriate chip.

As far as I know the manual with circuit diagrams that you can download from Tentec is all the "service" manual there is. Looking at it I have found that there is an S-meter sensitivity adjustment R4

The OMNI V manual says 50 microvolts RF at the antenna connection to show S-9 on the meter. Probably at 14 MHz. I have no idea what that is DC, probably half scale on the meter. 73, Jerry, K0CQ _____

My FT857D which is slightly smaller than the Eagle but has about the same number of buttons and controls on the front panel has decent interfacing for a transverter and a really effective TXINH line

Part of that comes from Collins use of RF feedback to keep down intermod products. Collins spec was 3rd order 35 dB down while most solid state rigs hardly do 25 dB down 3rd order and have a lot more
