To all that have asked: I am using a 19 dbi grid on the satellite that is about 1.5 miles from the base. The base antenna is a 12dbi Tiltek with 120 degree coverage. The noise hovers in the -75db reg

Amplifiers are well know to introduce noise into the mix. I am going to go horizontal and hopefully some of the noise will vanish (5db or so). George that bit and at satellite. AP 19dbi if about 5-6m
