It seems to be from the G-450 schematic that the rotor motor has two winding one for one direction and other direction and the other for the opposite direction and uses three wires to accomplish this

QST also exposed the so call Max-Com balun that claimed when hooked to a dipole (length not specified) it would give less than 2:1 from 1.8 to 30 Mhz. And they were correct since that's what it did.
