A single loop will have an impeadance of 110 +j0 ohms at resonance. Use a .25WL 70 ohm transmission line to feed it, coiled as a balun at the feedpoint. and you should be able to get it to become a 1

Alex, Hi again, 1. .25WL of 70 ohm RG11 coax. Make sure you consider the velocity factor of the coax when you cut it to length. If you use RG11 with a VF of .667, then 11 feet is approximately the co

Anyone have a GR 1606B bridge that they could part with? Were looking for one of these or something similar. Thank you, -- Jay Terleski Array Solutions 972 203 2008 Military Communications Systems, P

Frank, Try this, remove the coax and open the feedpoint of the inverted transmit L. This will make it invisible. The tower is another story, but try this first. If the signals on 160 show directivity

Dave, I have two concerns. 1. The ability of EZNEC to properly predict the impedance of your vertical, without you having to actually measure it and "warp" your model to mimic the real world. 2. How

Gary, It could be done that way but you have a capacitor in the mix which are usually not very resistant to lightning or high static charges, That is why I like the shunt coil match better. To each h

Gary, I built a 6 ele 1 WL 6m yagi and I designed it for a 25 ohm feed point and used one of our 25 ohm baluns (AS-25-3) Hence no matching hairpin or gamma needed. Just a split element. Works great.

Yes, If you use the SWR plot given by EZNEC you can place your curser on the frequency you're interested in and it will give you the impedance calculated at that frequency. The source impedance is at
