Yes the caps I'm using are the size of skateboard wheels. The wire dipole is a coil loaded inverted vee. I added the L-C match because I wanted to operate it off "native" resonance. John AI6LY ______

Hi Dave, After searching far and wide to come to the conclusion there is none commercially available, I built my own tension gauge based on a suggestion from K6OK who did the engineering on my tower.

Either a resistor or choke will work to bleed off static, as others have stated. But, note that a suitably sized resistor introduces a high RC time constant, which in the event of a lightning strike
