I use the preforms on synthetic and steel guy lines for years with no problem. I have never seen a utility pole or wire on the ground because of a failure. Make your own with UV resistant line. _____

I use the grips from the power company with 5/16 line on my tower guys. tri-ex sm40 with yaesu rotor and LPDA. I use some contrasting tape as indicators on the lines, no slippage. ___________________
