Yes, I do believe WIN 8.1 is the cause of this problem. But I am not familiar enough with WIN 8.0 or 8.1 to figure out how to find this. I can find the WRITELOG Folder OK and see all the files in it

I did an upgrade from WIN 8.0 to 8.1. WRITELOG opened and worked in 8.0. No longer opens or works in 8.1. This PC in question came with WIN 8.0 installed. It never had WIN 7. I found my contest files
