For the past 3 weeks I was troubled by severe RFI on 80 and 40 meters. It was a pulsation type noise the first pulse would last 5 sec than a 5 sec delay, followed by two rapid pulses 3 sec long back

Yes his radio was indeed the ole GE superradio. I have owned one of these in the past and yes they are quite sensitive units really pick up the power line noise. Ken W8OB ____________________________

BTW, does anyone know why we've yet to hear reports (good or bad) from hams that live in (or near) BPL test areas? You would think there would be at least 1 HF-active ham in one of the existing areas
