I have used the 2510 quite a bit; there is now "HAMSAT" which as of a few weeks back showed real promise, an LEO with good signals and the Sat box has enough power to hit it. I have two of the 2510's

There is a one-transistor Q mult circuit back in the 1958!!!!! ARRL handbook I think. I'm not sure how well it worked, and as I remember it was intended to be a "notch" but wold also make a peak one
