Oh bull!!! I have a TH7 and it is (was) a great performing antenna... Until the traps failed. It also didn't work if there was any ice or snow on it. Kept it going until a major ice storm damaged it.

I've noticed that here too. Often my antennas on a 150' tower will be unusable, but antennas on a nearby 50' are relatively quiet. All are monoband aluminium yagis. Mel... VE2DC _____________________
