IMHO you don't need "special" insulation, use RG400 PTFE coax which is both double screened and easily capable of working at over 200 C... problem solved... I use RG400 for all my EHT leads with eith

The trick that I use is a "motor run" capacitor in series - typical values are 1-15uF 440VAC rated. You can use a single cap or more than one if you want more than two speeds and switch across them.

Neil, is similar to Solid Resin Paper Board (SRBP) in properties. Personally I would use PTFE for the job you are describing, we (John G6YIN and myself) have used this on several 3-500Z, 8877 and GS3

Don't think so... The primary remains unchanged, as the for secondary with the '350FJ you need 26.5V @ 0.65A per tube while with the '350A you need 6.3V @ 2.8A - both about 17.5 watts (give or take).
