Thanks to half a dozen of you that replied. I put a good DX Engineering 470 Ohm bev resister across the two terminals, and tested with an MFJ-259B. To my surprise, all 4 transformers tested fine! (R

For a standard, single-wire terminated Beverage, I read recently (either here or TowerTalk) about using 2 4-5' ground rods, but I didn't understand if that was at the feedpoint or at the termination

The IC-746PRO has a known history of getting xmit failures. The PA dies completely, out of the blue, and requires a fix and mod. The earlier units (serial # 03351(?)) were especially prone. Some guys

I'm improving the grounding on my Beverages -- using 2 4' rods at the feed and endpoint of each. However, one of them (single-wire, terminated) ends at a point where the ground is very rocky. I can o

Thanks to a number of you that replied! I will not attach to the old fence, as several of you strongly suggested ;-), and I will use a couple of short ground rods with as much radials as I can put do

I have a strange problem with 2 slopers. Apologies in advance for being a bit long with this... For the last year, the only topband xmit antenna I've had is a 1/4 wave sloper (actually a W9INN 40/80/
