Hi Gents, Just for some future info here....If I use regulated DC to power the filaments on any tube, and let's say the required voltage is 5 volts AC, shouldn't (or couldn't) the DC value be 5 x .70

Some years ago one of the "standard" SO239 coax connectors would short out the HV supply at the Amp. Then I switched to the HN series of connectors with RG-8 solid....never a problem after that, but
