Here in the SW corner of New Mexico, not far from N5IA, I wish I could report some measure of success. I have listened on 80 and 160 every morning and evening except for last weekend, when I was doin

It certainly has been an exciting few days on 160 from down this way. We have now had three consecutive nights of Europe openings. The night of Jan 2 was the best. A poor night until 0430Z, then thin

That's pretty amazing ! Over the north pole or long path ? Pretty quiet in SW New Mexico this morning (SR=1415Z) - nothing heard on topband, a few stations worked long path on 80. 73, Steve, N2IC/5 _

Careful....That comment means that no one west of the Mississippi River should be CQing before 0800Z, since, by definition, we would be CQing on top of EU DX that we can't hear. 73, Steve, N2IC....o

High noon may not get you to true north - and, in fact, can be off quite a bit. Without going into lots of theory about your longitude vs. the time zone longitude, and the equation of time, a better

Ford and Tom, Can you provide some examples of "good" relays you have found, say, from the Mouser or Digikey catalog ? Frankly, it's a little daunting to go through 65 pages of relays, trying to sur
