I think Jim would need the 509 schematic to see how the connections for the 208 are wired in.I have the 509 PDF from the TT obsolete manuals site.  I have a PDF of the 208A manual if anyone needs tha

Snowy, Since CW is working, you're definitely looking in the right area.You should be able to use a scope to look at the audio signal through both both sections of U2 into the balanced modulator (U1)

Well, that's different :-) If U1, pin 1 is <3 volts in other than CW mode, take a look at Q4. If Q4 is turned on (by the CWU line) or shorted, U1, pin 3 will be grounded thru D2 & R15 which unbalance

The PTO shaft is not grounded so a small frequency shift occurs when your hand gets close to the dial & dial skirt.One mod was to use a cut down safety pin to short out the shaft as it passes through

I'm looking for a 90192 Control board for a TT 509. Apparently this is a very early one as it does not match my other 509 or the manual. The problem is the 8 volt power supply section is dropping to
