Nor did I using the PIEXX board in my TS-930, but of course that is much later technology than the original uP in the 940. I *love* the faster polling on both radios -- it has pretty well done away w

Keep in mind that the TS-940 PIEXX is just a single-board replacement for the chips and level converter in the Kenwood system -- unlike the 930, it doesn't replace the microprocessor that controls fr

Boy, I thought long and hard about whether to respond to this. I understand Guy's frustration. I've been a TRLog user for 8 years now, and it still serves me very well. If I were in a multi-op enviro

Coincident with Guy's starting the thread about the demise of TRLog on the TR Reflector, I was asking people on the Writelog reflector who had switched from TR what they thought about the transition.

In fairness, I think this may be a Yaesu quirk rather than something TR does. The TR/MP combination also turns off the RIT if you enter a frequency like 000 in the call window to move back to the bot

On my mark 5, this definitely turns off the IT. I suspect it's a firmware problem -- nothing TR can do about it. 73, Pete N4ZR The World HF Contest Station Database was updated 1 Feb 03. Are you curr

Is anyone out there successfully using SBDVP with a Sound Blaster SB16 PCI (PCI-bus) sound card. Mine works fine with an SB16 ISA card, but with the PCI bus I can play back but not record. 73, Pete N

Quick correspondence with W9CF (who is in Trieste without a DOS PC currently) suggests that the reason SBDVP won't work with the SB16 PCI card I was trying to use is that SBDVP uses one DMA for both

I just made an interesting discovery (new to me, anyhow). Even when in SSB mode, with SBDVP in use, you can still use hex strings to control various 1000MP/Mk5 radio functions at the stroke of a func
