My Alpha 78 TVI goes away if I remove the S-video cable between the DirecTV receiver and TV. With it in the line 5 watts on 160 meters gives me TVI. I don't know if it is a bad cable or ??? but I don

Chasing VK9WWI this morning I fired up the Alpha 78 on 80 meters. Woke the dogs and XYL setting off my First Alert BATTERY operated smoke and CO alarms. Any known cure short of QRP or QRT ? Thanks, R

Turns out my CO detector is a Kidde. I took it apart and could see a 10ufd electrolytic across the battery terminals. Put a 0.047 disk across it and no beeping on 160 or 80......... yeah But wait, fi
