Are you sure you don't have the MULTI PORT command in your config file? That does seem low. On my computer, with 551K free, firing up TR shows 100,656 free bytes (a fresh run at the CQ WW contest).

This typically happens when POST is closing a file and then trying to reopen it right away. It seems to be confusing the disk cache within windows. Perhaps the solution is to boot to DOS and try it.

Sure - probably the easiest way is to use a text editor. What I typically do is to use the COMPUTER ID feature and then filter the log so I get only the QSOs made on a specific computer (and edited)
