Well this may be of no help but my Paragon will do the same thing if the SWR goes too high or if there is a mismatch that it does not like. I have the matching supply for the Paragon and when it does

This is usually a bad solder joint on a board...trying to remember the board...its on top inside the only inclosure on the top...I thinks it's the PLL major loop board. Just get a magnifier and check
