Thanks all for the info. I really appreciate it. Now I'm thinking a manual winch with brake and drive it with a drill motor. The Fulton K series seems to come up often in conversations about winches,

Has anyone had experience or have an opinion about turning a Fulton KW series winch with a Ridgid R7122 to tilt up/down my HG70HD? The specs and warranty look real good. 73, Mike NF4L _______________

Thanks Chris - I have seen that winch touted, as well as it's big brother. The lifting force when the tower is horizontal is a tad north of 4000 lbs. Using a 4 sheet block cuts it to about 1000 lbs.
