I have had trouble with my FT817 after using it with a car battery and TOO large a fuse. The 0V track burnt out very close to the power connector underneath the decoupling cap. After bridging the gap

I've had an FT817 in my 'carry on' baggage a good few times in the last five years, in Europe. As well as the normal laptop, reduced toilet bag, etc. etc. Reactions to the radio have varied as to the
