Can't say I understand everything, but if you look at the instruction set for the kenwood, there are separate instructions for each VFO. Evidently, the software is issuing the instructions for VFO A

Jerry, I am also using XP w/o SP2. Only have one sound card, so there nothing to select, it's a SoundMaxDigitalAudio card. Like I say, the sound works, just can't adjust it due to the greyed out box.
