Thanks to all that commented, my face is a bit red. I am using a US Interface Navigator and I had plugged the key into the rear key jack of the FT1000. Thanks to all those who led me to finding this

Ralph, that is how I run all my transverters, I have seperate tx and RX lines from the rigs, at 30mhz to the transverters and from them to the main relay at each of the various arrays/dish, on 144, 4
