Ok, I took the n out of %n3 but still nothing. I know I can put 5nn instead of 599 to solve that problem but still get 001 for the serial number and can't fix that. Oh, I did take the 1=A out. Still

My setup is a bit different Dave, I don't have a C drive, mine is the F drive but no matter it's all the same and the ini file is in the F:\WINDOWS folder and I added the [Cut-Numbers] at the end on

I did a "Files and Folders" search of the hard drive and it found NO .ini files related to WriteLog. I copied my old ini file to the WINDOWS folder, changed to commslot 3=8, rebooted my computer but
