All - Someone referred me to this fine list and thought perhaps you might have some input. I have been experiencing some local QRN for over a month now. I have located the general area of the noise -

First off - as point out this link was wrong: It was noise.doc for the first letter, but I copied it to both file names so it will work now. This morning - it appears the noise continues to diminish

I meant to say "but it was 23 degrees F this morning" - so it doesn't appear there is much correlation to temperature or even rain. Tree _______________________________________________ RFI mailing l

Hi Dan. I have wandered over there some with my 160 meter receiving loop and battery powered K2. The thought of a heater in a green house was an obvious thing to consider. Probably the biggest piece

Yes - this is very true. However, I have been unable to hear this with my 131 MHz DF setup (radio shack handheld receiver and 3 element beam). Tree _______________________________________________ RFI

Hi Mark. I did get some responses - but so far, no identification of the device. However, the frequency of the noise is very sporadic now - and we only heard it once during the CQ 160 contest - for f

I realize that this was a confusing statment. When I said "frequency", I meant how often the noise appears. The radio frequency part of the noise is the same as it always has been. Tree _____________

There are chargers that make noise - even when the fence is perfect. Typically, it isn't a problem unless you are pretty close to them. I have had luck making them quiet enough to live with by puttin

It could be a problem with the headphones as well. I had a pair of sony noise cancelling ones that developed this same problem. If you ground yourself - it probably reduces the amount of AC your body

Um - unlikely this is the root cause. Those are bulk capacitors - who main job is to provide stable voltage levels to the silicon components during dynamic changes in the current. The caps that would
